Wheelchair Rental Near Me | Same-Day Delivery Across Metro Vancouver
Wheelchair rental with same-day delivery
Most people searching for a wheelchair rental need one this week, not next month — a discharge, a visiting parent, a broken ankle, a trip where walking the distances just is not going to happen. We keep manual chairs, transport chairs, bariatric chairs and folding power chairs in stock at our Surrey showroom and deliver across Metro Vancouver the same day.
- Same-day delivery
- Daily, weekly or monthly
- Seat width fitted properly

Wheelchairs and related equipment
All available to rent or buy, delivered and fitted.
This is the single most common mix-up, and it matters. A transport chair has four small wheels and must be pushed by someone else — the person sitting in it cannot move it themselves. A standard wheelchair has large rear wheels with hand rims, so the user can self-propel. Transport chairs are lighter and fold smaller, which makes them ideal for appointments and travel; they are the wrong choice if the person wants to get around the house independently. Tell us which situation you are in and we will send the right one. On seat width: measure across the hips while seated and add about two inches. Too narrow is painful, and too wide costs stability and makes self-propelling harder.

Frequently asked questions
Sizing, timing, travel and funding.
How quickly can I get a wheelchair?
Same day across most of Metro Vancouver, and within minutes if you can come to the Surrey showroom. Outlying Fraser Valley addresses such as Hope and Harrison Hot Springs usually need a day or two — we will say so on the phone rather than promise same-day and miss it.
What seat width do I need?
Measure across the hips while seated and add roughly two inches. Most adults land on 18". Too narrow is genuinely painful over a few hours; too wide costs stability and makes self-propelling harder because the hand rims sit further out. If you are unsure, come in and sit in a couple — it takes ten minutes and it is the difference between a chair that gets used and one that does not.
Can I rent a wheelchair for just one day?
Yes. Daily rentals are common for a single appointment, a wedding, a funeral or a day out somewhere with long distances. Call the day before if you can, so we can have the right width set aside.
Do you have wheelchairs for larger users?
Yes. We stock bariatric transport chairs with 22" seats and 450 lb capacity, and wider manual chairs. Wide chairs are the ones that run out first, so give us as much notice as you can.
Can I take a rented wheelchair on a plane?
Manual chairs travel easily and airlines handle them as mobility aids at no charge. Power chairs are more complicated because the rules turn on the battery — the airline needs the watt-hour rating declared in advance. Tell us you are flying and we will supply the specification sheet the airline will ask for.
Does MSP cover a wheelchair rental in BC?
MSP generally does not fund mobility equipment. Funding typically comes through Ministry programs (BCEA/PWD), extended health plans, ICBC or WorkSafeBC depending on your situation. Ministry funding usually requires a prescription and pre-approval before purchase. We can help with the documentation and quotes those applications require.
Can I pay for a wheelchair over time?
Yes. We offer in-house financing at 0% interest with no credit check, split over 3, 6 or 12 months with a 10% deposit. You can work out the payments on our payment calculator.
