Equipment for every stage of senior living

Independent living, assisted living, memory care and long-term care each need different things.

Moving into a suite? Measure before you buy

Assisted living and memory care suites are smaller than a family home. Before choosing a bed or lift chair, check the door width, the floor space beside the bed (about 3 ft clear on one side for a walker or transfer), where the outlets are, and the residence's own equipment rules. Call us with the floor plan and we will tell you what fits.

Frequently asked questions

Senior living, memory care and home care equipment.

What equipment do I need when moving into assisted living?

It depends on mobility, but the usual list is a rollator or walker, a lift chair, a raised toilet seat or commode, and sometimes a low hospital bed. Many residences supply basic furniture only, so check with them first. Call us with the suite dimensions and we will recommend what fits.

What equipment helps with memory care and dementia?

Safety comes first: a low-height bed reduces injuries from falls out of bed, and stable seating with arms helps with standing. Follow the care team's or OT's recommendations, and we can supply what they specify.

Do you deliver to retirement homes and care homes?

Yes. We deliver and set up in senior residences across Metro Vancouver and the Fraser Valley, and we coordinate with the front desk on access and timing.

Do you offer fall-prevention help for care homes?

Yes. Our registered nurse runs free fall-prevention workshops for care-home residents. Call 604-240-2450 to book one.

Can my parent stay at home instead?

Often, with the right setup. Lift chairs, bath safety equipment, rollators and a hospital bed on the main floor make aging in place safer.

Does MSP cover medical equipment in BC?

MSP generally does not fund mobility or home medical equipment. Funding typically comes through Ministry programs (BCEA/PWD), extended health plans, ICBC or WorkSafeBC. Ministry funding usually requires a prescription and pre-approval before purchase.

Can I pay over time?

Yes. 0% in-house financing with no credit check, over 3, 6 or 12 months with a 10% deposit. See our payment calculator.
