Hospital Bed Rental | Same-Day Delivery & Setup Across Metro Vancouver

Hospital beds — Metro Vancouver & Fraser Valley

Hospital bed rental with same-day delivery and setup

A hospital discharge usually comes with a day or two of notice, and the bed is the part nobody has planned for. We keep fully electric home care beds in stock at our Surrey showroom, deliver across Metro Vancouver and the Fraser Valley, and assemble the bed in the room where it will be used — so nobody is building a bed frame the evening someone comes home.

  • Same-day delivery
  • Assembled in the room
  • Daily, weekly or monthly
  • Phones answered 24/7

Everything that goes with the bed

Most rooms need more than the bed itself. All of it is available to rent or buy.

Four things to check before we load the truck

The bed comes apart, so a standard doorway is almost never the problem — but these four are. How wide is the narrowest doorway or turn on the route in? Is there a power outlet on the side of the bed the head will sit at? Is there at least three feet clear on one side, so a lift or a wheelchair can come alongside? And how far is it to a toilet, or is there floor space for a commode? Tell us on the phone and we will bring the right people and the right approach the first time.

How hospital bed rental works

Four steps, no long-term commitment.

1

Call, or come and look

Tell us the room and the discharge date. Beds are on the floor at our Surrey showroom if you would rather see one first.

2

Choose your period

Daily, weekly or monthly. Most people start monthly because nobody knows how long recovery will take.

3

Delivery & setup

We assemble it in the room, position it, fit the rails and mattress, and show whoever is providing care how to work it.

4

Extend, or we collect

Extend by phone if you need longer. When you are done we take it away — no dismantling, no dump run.

Rent or buy — an honest comparison

There is a point where renting stops making financial sense. We will tell you where it is.

Rent

  • Right when the length of care is genuinely unknown
  • Daily, weekly and monthly terms
  • Delivery, setup and collection included
  • Sanitized and inspected between rentals

Buy

  • Usually better past roughly six months of use
  • 0% in-house financing, no credit check
  • ICBC, extended health & Ministry paperwork help
  • Servicing and parts afterwards

Why families call us for the bed

The practical reasons, not the marketing ones.

  • Real installers, not a courier drop-off — the bed is assembled and demonstrated on site
  • Beds on the floor at the Surrey showroom, so you can see one before you commit
  • Someone answers the phone at any hour, including the night before a discharge
  • We will say when renting is the wrong call and buying is cheaper
  • ICBC, extended health and Ministry funding paperwork assistance

Frequently asked questions

Delivery, sizing, funding and what is included.

How fast can you deliver a hospital bed?

Same day across most of Metro Vancouver and the Fraser Valley, and often within hours if you call in the morning. Outlying Fraser Valley addresses such as Hope and Harrison Hot Springs sit at the far end of our routes and usually need a day or two — we will tell you honestly on the phone rather than promise same-day and miss it.

Will the bed fit through my door?

Almost always. Home care beds come apart for delivery, so the frame goes in in sections rather than as one piece. The narrow points that do cause trouble are tight stair turns, apartment lifts and hallway corners — mention those when you call and we will plan for them.

Does the rental include a mattress?

Yes, a standard foam mattress is included with the bed. If someone will be in bed for long stretches, ask about upgrading to a pressure redistribution mattress such as the Gravity 9 — pressure injuries are far easier to prevent than to treat.

Can the bed go in the living room instead of a bedroom?

Yes, and it is one of the most common setups we do — particularly in homes where the bedrooms are upstairs. What matters is floor space beside the bed, a power outlet on the correct side, and how far it is to a toilet.

How long do people usually rent for?

Most start with a month because the length of recovery is rarely known at discharge. Past roughly six months, buying usually costs less than continuing to rent, and we will say so rather than let a rental run on.

Do you set the bed up, or just drop it off?

We set it up. Our team assembles the bed in the room where it will be used, fits the rails and mattress, checks the controls, and shows whoever is providing care how to raise, lower and adjust it before leaving.

Does MSP cover a hospital bed rental in BC?

MSP generally does not fund home medical equipment. Funding typically comes through Ministry programs (BCEA/PWD), extended health plans, ICBC or WorkSafeBC depending on your situation. Ministry funding usually requires a prescription and pre-approval before purchase. We can help with the documentation and quotes those applications require.

Can I pay for a bed over time?

Yes. We offer in-house financing at 0% interest with no credit check, split over 3, 6 or 12 months with a 10% deposit. You can work out the payments on our payment calculator.

Need a bed before someone comes home tomorrow?

Call any hour, including tonight. If we can get it to you today, we will tell you straight away.
