9. How difficult is it to install the WL2?
Installation requires basic plumbing and electrical knowledge — similar to installing a new faucet. The WL2 “Ts” into your toilet’s existing water supply line, so no new supply line is needed. It has a built-in water heater, so hot water hookup is not required. For the electrical connection, the lift needs a standard three-prong GFI outlet. The included 31-inch power cord has an inline Ground Fault Interrupt and is approved for use with an extension cord if needed. We recommend having a capable handyperson assist, as the unit weighs approximately 60 lbs. Assembly takes about 60 minutes.
10. What electrical requirements does the WL2 have?
The WL2 requires a nearby GFI (Ground Fault Interrupt) electrical outlet. It uses electricity to heat the bidet water, power the lifting mechanism, run the blow dryer, and maintain the heated seat. The 31-inch power cord includes an inline GFI and is compatible with an extension cord — however, we strongly recommend keeping all bathroom electrical cords elevated and away from floor pathways for safety.
