Where PCP fits
Three things worth knowing before you buy from this range.
Measure the room, not the person
Bath and toilet equipment fails on the bathroom, not the user. A transfer bench needs the tub wall height and the clearance either side; a raised toilet seat needs to match a round or elongated bowl. Three measurements taken before you shop prevent almost every return in this category.
The cheap fix is often the right one
A $60 bath seat and a $40 grab bar prevent more falls than most things costing ten times as much. PCP exists at that end of the market deliberately, and for a bathroom that is where the money is best spent first.
Bathroom safety is rarely funded
MSP does not cover it and most extended health plans do not either, so this usually comes out of pocket. That makes an affordable, well-made Canadian line worth more here than in categories where an insurer is paying.

Three numbers before you buy bathroom equipment
The width of the bathroom doorway, the height of the tub wall or toilet seat, and the clear space either side. Bring those and we can pick between a seat, a bench and a frame in about five minutes. Without them it is a guess, and this is the category people most often buy twice.
Common questions
Choosing, ordering, funding and fitting.
Bath seat, transfer bench or shower chair — which one?
It depends on the tub. If the person can lift a leg over the tub wall safely, a bath seat or shower chair inside the tub is enough. If they cannot, a transfer bench (7392) straddles the wall so they sit down outside and slide in. If the bathroom is a walk-in shower, a stool or seat with a back is usually right. Measure the tub wall height first — that single number decides most of it.
Round or elongated toilet bowl?
Measure from the bolts at the back of the seat to the front edge of the bowl. Around 16.5” is a round bowl, around 18.5” is elongated. Several PCP seats (7019, 7020) fit both, which is the safe choice if you are unsure or buying for someone else's bathroom.
Why are there no prices on the full list?
Most of this catalogue we order in rather than stock, and pricing moves with the manufacturer and with size or colour. A number printed here would go stale. Anything on our shelf is priced on the shop pages; for anything else quote us the model number on 604-240-2450 and you will get a real figure the same day.
How long does an ordered item take?
Usually about a week. Airway Surgical ship from Ottawa, so it is domestic freight rather than an overseas container. If something is on back-order we tell you when we quote, not after you have paid.
Will any of this be covered by insurance?
Bathroom safety equipment is rarely covered. MSP does not fund it, and most extended health plans exclude it. Ministry programs (BCEA/PWD) may fund equipment where there is an assessed need, but approval has to come before you buy. Commodes and some mobility items have a better chance than grab bars and bath seats. We provide itemised quotes with model numbers either way.
Do you install grab bars?
The suction models (9200 and 9300 series) need no installation and come off without a mark, which is why they suit rentals and travel — but they are not rated for full body weight. The screw-fixed bars (8400 and 9100 series) must go into studs or proper anchors to be safe. We supply them; for installation we can point you to trades who do this work regularly.
Can I pay over time?
Yes, though most of this range is inexpensive enough that it rarely comes up. Our in-house financing is 0% interest with no credit check over 3, 6 or 12 months with a 10% deposit. Estimate payments on our payment calculator.
