For Health Professionals, Clinics & Care Homes | Must Medical

For clinicians, clinics & care homes

Supplying health professionals across the Lower Mainland

Occupational therapists, care homes, home care agencies, clinics and nursing students all buy from us. If you order the same things regularly, tell us what they are and we will quote them properly rather than making you shop item by item.

Who we supply

Three groups, with fairly different needs.

Occupational & physical therapists

Client equipment

You assess, specify, and then have to find someone who can actually source it.

  • We quote line by line against your specification
  • Quotes formatted for Ministry, WorkSafeBC or insurer submission
  • If we cannot source an exact item we say so rather than substituting
  • Delivery and setup in the client’s home, with the family shown how it works

Care homes & home care agencies

Recurring supply

Equipment for residents, and the consumables that run out every month.

  • Gloves, incontinence supplies, underpads and daily consumables
  • Wheelchairs, walkers, commodes and bathroom safety for residents
  • Rentals for respite, trial placements and short stays
  • Delivery to the facility, working to your access and hours

Nurses, care aides & students

Personal kit

The things you buy for yourself rather than for a patient.

  • Stethoscopes, including 3M Littmann
  • Blood pressure monitors
  • Compression stockings for long shifts on your feet
  • Gloves and everyday consumables
Starting a nursing or care aide programme?

Come in with your programme’s equipment list. We would rather fit a stethoscope properly and explain the difference between models than sell you the dearest one on the shelf. If you are buying several things together, ask — we will do better than list price.

What professional customers actually want from a supplier

In our experience it is rarely the lowest price. It is knowing that when you specify something, it turns up, it is the thing you specified, and somebody sets it up properly at the other end.

For an occupational therapist that matters more than it might sound. A substituted cushion or a seat width an inch out can undo months of work on posture and skin integrity, and you are the one who has to explain it. We would rather tell you we cannot source something than quietly send an alternative.

The same applies to documentation. A quote that gets returned for missing model numbers costs a client weeks of funding delay. We itemise properly, with model numbers and the detail the relevant agency asks for, because the paperwork is usually what holds things up rather than the equipment.

How to set something up

There is no application form. It is a phone call.

1

Tell us what you order

The items, roughly how often, and whether it is for clients or for the facility itself.

2

We quote it

Itemised, with model numbers, in the format your funder or finance team needs.

3

We agree how it works

Delivery schedule, access, invoicing, and who to call when something is urgent.

4

You have a person, not a queue

Somebody who knows your account, at a number answered any hour of the day.

Being straight about what we are

We are an independent retailer with a Surrey showroom, not a national distributor. For a large facility ordering pallets of consumables, a wholesale distributor will beat us on price and we will say so.

Where we are genuinely useful is the middle ground — a therapist sourcing equipment for one client, a care home that needs three wheelchairs and a bed by Friday, an agency that wants the same order every month without chasing it, a student kitting out for a placement. Things that need attention rather than volume.

We are also the only authorized Dignity Lifts dealer in British Columbia, which occasionally matters for a bathroom transfer problem that nothing else solves.

Common questions

Do you offer trade or bulk pricing?

Tell us what you order and how often, and we will quote it. We do not publish a trade price list because the answer depends on volume and frequency, but the conversation is a short one and we would rather have it than lose the business over an assumption.

Can you invoice a facility rather than take payment upfront?

Ask us. It depends on the arrangement and the amount, and it is easier to sort out before the first order than after. Call and we will tell you plainly what we can do.

Can you work from an OT specification?

Yes. Send it through and we will quote against it line by line. Where something is ambiguous we will flag it rather than guessing, and with the client’s permission we are happy to speak to you directly about alternatives before anything is ordered.

Do you deliver to care facilities?

Yes, across Metro Vancouver and the Fraser Valley. Facilities usually have their own delivery procedures — loading access, particular hours, staff present for handover. Tell us the facility and we will work to their rules.

Can students get a discount?

Ask when you come in, particularly if you are buying several items together for a programme. Bring your equipment list and some proof of enrolment.

What if you cannot supply something?

We will tell you. Certain equipment on a WorkSafeBC claim runs through their contracted provider network, and some specialised rehab seating is better sourced elsewhere. Pointing you to the right supplier costs us one sale and keeps the relationship — see our claims guide for how that works.

Must Medical Equipment is an independent retailer of medical equipment and supplies based in Surrey, BC. We are not a clinical service and do not provide assessment, diagnosis or treatment.
